The Day of Atonement
Gods Laws, Commandments, & Statutes

The Day of Atonement is the highest holy day outlined in the Bible. In Gods’ Laws it describes that the High Priest is to make an atoning sacrifice for the sins of the people on the Day of Atonement.
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.” Hebrews 4:14
This act of paying the penalty for sin brings a reconciliation (a restored relationship) between the people and God:
“'And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you: for on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD . It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever. ' Leviticus 16:29-31”
Ironically, this year the day of Atonement happens on the 24th of September a few days after the Feast of Trumpets. Christ is prophesied to gather his elect and return with a Trumpet call, at the Feast of Trumpets there are Trumpet blown and at the Day of Atonement there are Trumpets blown:
“Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. ' Leviticus 25:9
Could this year September 24th be the prophesied return of christ? Could this day September 24th be the prophesied gathering of the children of Israel? Lord knows I pray that it is, I am not setting dates, but I am just making known the seasons that we are living in. That there is a direct correlation between our Salvation and these High Holiday Days and that our Salvation is Nearer now than when we first believed.
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 KJV
"Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other." Matthew 24:30-31
'And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. ' Revelation 8:1-2
