I'm sure the answer to this question will surprise many of you. Remember that the Pharisees multiple times called Christ an "Alcoholic."
"The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look at this glutton and drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' But wisdom is vindicated by her actions." Matthew 11:19
"The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ Luke 7:34
Christ was not an "Addict," nor was he an "Alcoholic" but he was a social drinker. His first miracle was turning water into wine at a wedding feast.
“On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[b] Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine.” John 2:1-1
If you drink, you will get drunk. We are not children in need of whole milk again, but we are adults, able to get solid full and should understand this plainly. Listen to the message and let me know your thoughts based on the scriptures.
'A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. ' Ecclesiastes 10:19
